- Organization of structure and function of biological networks, their reliability, robustness, adaptability and evolvability.
- Oscillation and synchronization dynamics of complex network systems and applications to neurosystem and ecosystem.
- Noise-sustained / enhanced phenomena (patterns, synchronization, sensitivity); stochastic resonance and coherence resonance; nontrivial / constructive effects of fluctuations in biological systems.
- Nonlinear time series analysis and modeling of hierarchical spatio-temporal complex dynamics and applications in brain activities.
